SUPPORT SERVICES
The CLAA does not simply publish lessons and leave teachers, parents and students to figure the rest our on their own. We provide a complete range of support services to help our community members succeed in teaching and learning the classical liberal arts. Standard support services below are available to all students and are paid for at the time of enrollment. Premium support services are optional and allow teachers and parents to provide their students with as much help as they wish--all the way to daily tutoring and lesson management.
Note: Support service fees are non-refundable.

I. CLAA Forum |
The CLAA Forum is the first place for users to get help. The forum allows quick, self-serve answers to many of your questions, which are usually shared by others and expected. If you don't see an answer to your question, simply post it for others and expect a prompt and thorough reply. Register and use the forum at: www.claanet.com. |

II. Daily Live Chat |
Every day from 9 -12 and 3-5 pm EST, the CLAA fields student questions directly via live chat on the CLAA website. This is a great way for students to get answers to lesson questions that require expertise. Technical questions should be asked in the morning, when the CLAA's programmer Michael Schmiedicke is available and lesson content questions in the afternoon, when Mr. Michael is online. Chat is available for parents on Sunday evenings between 9 and 11pm EST. |

Families may arrange dedicated, private live chat sessions for their children so that Mr. Michael's expert help is at hand for all lesson questions and other needs at set times during the day, week or month. This service ensures that students will not need to wait in line or possibly be denied access on busy days. Cost: $40 per hour |

III. Planning Progress Reviews |
We can help families with the practical details of lesson planning and student motivation through our lesson planning and student progress review service. Mr. Michael works directly with students to lay out their tasks and goals for a chosen period of time, then follows up with them at scheduled times to review their progress and help them progress efficiently. This service has been highly praised by many families as the missing link in their home school. These planning and review sessions may be conducted by e-mail or live chat as the parent desires. The normal rates for live chat apply and e-mail planning and revews are $10 per student per session. |

IV. Transcripts/Reference Letters |
While homeschooling families do not need outside transcripts or certification, it is recommended that, when applying for college admission, third-party documentation and references are obtained. These give admissions personnel a more objective and experienced insight into the quality of the student's work and promise of success. The CLAA provides details records of student work and a letter of reference from Mr. Michael that summarizes the student's work in the CLAA and explains its significance to reviewers who are certainly not going to be familiar with the CLAA's standards and content. Cost: $25.00 per student. |
V. Telephone Consultation |
Many families find a telephone conference with Mr. Michael to be extremely helpful in gaining a clear understanding of the vision and objectives of CLAA studies, discussing individual children's needs, and planning for their children's future. Cost: $40 per hour (by appointment). |

VI. Student Tutoring |
In a CLAA school, students will always have access to the tutorship of older students who have mastered their lessons and can help them as fellow students. In home schools, this is possible by hiring a student tutor. Student tutors are the CLAA's best students, chosen to represent the CLAA and assist their classmates. Tutoring work is one reward they enjoy for excellence in their studies and willingness to serve others. Cost: $10 per month. |
