Dear families,
Thank you for considering the CLAA.
My wife and I have nine children of our own and manage a 60 acre farm in addition to the CLAA, so you will not need to explain the importance of a flexible, efficient and affordable education program to us. We know.
We designed the CLAA to serve our own family and families like ours who want to achieve great things while also maintaining a pious and prosperous household. We didn't want to be a chaotic homeschooling family but had no satisfying options for our children's studies. We have developed flexible study programs and services that can be adapted to fit the needs of almost any family.
Most importantly, understand that the CLAA is a community of Christian parents working together to raise a generation better than our own. The admission process and all that proceeds from it is personal. We're available by e-mail or live chat in the evenings and we'd be happy to schedule a phone conversation if that would help.
God bless,
William & Dania Michael

STUDY PROGRAMS
I. CLAA Online
Classical liberal arts instruction, exercises and assessments delivered online to students studying under the direction of their parents at home. Lessons are not arranged by "grade level", but according to the ancient classical liberal arts progression from Grammar and Arithmetic through Philosophy. Lessons are self-paced and require mastery for promotion. Students may begin at any time.
II. CLAA Core Standards
Supplementing the classical liberal arts (or any other program), our Core Standards program take care of college and career readiness standards required by most states. These studies are provided for students based on their grade level (K-12) and are intended to supplement, not replace, a rigorous course of classical Christian studies. Students may begin at any time.
III. Beatitudes School Distance Learning
For home schooling families who desire the direction and assistance of expert teachers, we offer distance learning services that direct students through the classical liberal arts and/or Core Standards courses throughout the normal academic year. These serviced provide traditional, school-like order to students being privately educated at home. Enrollment is based on a traditional trimester calendar:
Michaelmas Term (September - December)
Hilary Term (January - March)
Trinity Term (April - June)
For more information on our distance learning services, view the information page here.

The CLAA enjoys the contributions of several extraordinary instructors from around the U.S. As the nature and volume of instruction varies per course, so does the cost of tuition. The cost of each course is available at the time of enrollment on our online application.
The Support Services fee required with every enrollment covers basic student and parent support and provides for the CLAA Family Forum's free support boards. Families interested in subscribing to individualized support services should see our Premium Support options here.

BILLING & PAYMENT
Payment arrangements must be made at the time of enrollment and are managed by the enrolling parent, not by the CLAA. We do not maintain an accounting staff and do not handle payments directly. Enrollments for which payment arrangements are not made will be deleted because anyone visiting our site may submit enrollments with no intention of paying or studying and we cannot afford to process those enrollments, only to find out it was a test of our enrollment system. Please make payment arrangements at the time of enrollment for prompt processing. We are happy to allow monthly payment plans with no interest charges or fees. This can be arranged at the time of enrollment.
We deliver invoices by e-mail monthly to families with open balances. Please make sure that payment arrangements are made for your account so that studies need not be interrupted.

REFUND POLICY
The Classical Liberal Arts Academy allows parents 30 days from the date of enrollment to decide whether they will be able to handle the rigor of our program. After 30 days, payments received are not refundable.
Note: When the CLAA opened in 2008, we offered full refunds because the program was new and Mr. Michael was the only instructor affected by those refunds. That refund policy ended on Apri 18, 2012.

COURSE CREDIT & STUDENT RECORDS
Important: Courses from which a student is withdrawn may not be included in a student's trasncript/academic record unless labeled "Withdrawn". When a student is withdrawn (which is rare), a letter is delivered to the family and appropriate local authority to ensure records are accurate an the CLAA's academic standards are preserved: CLAA Notice of WIthdrawal
As homeschoolers, parents can say anything they want when it comes to what their children have done each year. That is a freedom which, like all freedoms, can be abused.
The CLAA maintains up-to-the-minute records of all student work and these are the only "official" records of what students have actually done during their time in the CLAA. Our courses are considered individible wholes and therefore we will recognize no partial credit for any work done in any course. If/when we are contacted to verify claims made by homeschooling parents, we will verify only what student records show and will authorize no credits for any incomplete courses unless those courses are active and progress is being made.
Therefore, parents must understand that bouncing around from one program to the next, will not work when it comes to CLAA studies. If a student enters, completes some work and then leaves without having completed any CLAA courses, they will receive no academic credit and any attempt to record CLAA work on a homeschooling transcript will be denied. This can lead to serious issues and possibly charges of academic fraud and, therefore, we advise parents to only list completed CLAA courses on any homeschool transcripts.
