About the Loeb Classical Library

Harvard University Press publishes the standard editions of Greek and Latin literature in the Loeb Classical Library.  Loeb editions are printed handsomely in a library-quality cloth binding that will last a lifetime.  Greek volumes are bound in green cloth and Latin volumes in red.

The greatest feature of the Loeb editions is their parallel presentation of the original text beside its English translation.  This arrangement allows for young students to be introduced to the classic texts and to reap the benefits provided by access to the original text.   These are the only editions used and recommended by the Classical Liberal Arts Academy.
