There was a time in the Christian past when education was not complete until Aristotle was studied.  It was believed by Christian men that the famous Greek, or "The Philosopher" as they called him, had things figured out quite well. In fact, the old Jesuits required that their instructors "not depart from Aristotle in matters of importance".

The Academy teaches the full course of classical philosophy in four years.

COURSE DETAILS

Philosophy I:  Logic
Students are guided through Aristotle's Logic, including Prior and Posterior Analytics and On Interpretation.  In this course, students learn demonstrative reasoning, as opposed to the dialectical reasoning studied in Dialectic.

Philosophy II:  Physics
Student read Aristotle's Physics along with St. Thomas Aquinas' On the Principles of Nature.  This course provides students with a philosophical approach to natural science that was enjoyed by most of the men we learn about in science textbooks (i.e., they weren't trained in modern science classes).

Philosophy III:  Metaphysics
Students are guided through Aristotle's Metaphysics in the study of God and Being from a philosophical perspective.

Philosophy IV:  Ethics
Students are guided through Aristotle's Nichomachean Ethics.  This course is taught alongside Scholastic Theology, where many of the topics are treated from a theological perspective.

'Beware lest any man cheat you by philosophy and vain deceit: according to the tradition of men according to the elements of the world and not according to Christ.'

St. Paul, Colossians 2:8
