1. What is Arithmetic? Arithmetic is the study of Quantity.
2. What is Quantity? A Quantity is anything that can be counted or measured.
3. What will we learn in Petty School Arithmetic? In Petty School Arithmetic, we will learn to count to one thousand, and to read and write any number (in English and Latin).
